CompTIA A+ covers the fundamentals of computer technology, installation and configuration of PCs, laptops and related hardware, and basic networking.

They troubleshoot problems and answer questions to prevent downtime, while enhancing the use of hardware, software, peripheral equipment and operating systems. Field service technician is a general term for any mobile repair or assessment technician who travels to a site to troubleshoot equipment problems. Their job is to repair and maintain all makes and models of a particular type of product.

IT support technicians provide assistance to computer users by answering questions, resolving technical problems and maintaining a company's network, software and computer equipment. They are also called desktop support technicians or computer support specialists. IT support administrator investigates and diagnoses network problems, collects IT usage stats, makes recommendations for improving the company's IT systems and carrys out routine configuration and installation of IT solutions.

Certified? Now, Get to Work! IT support specialist is responsible for implementing and maintaining all aspects of the clients' technology. This includes daily support incidents, desktop and server troubleshooting, hardware/software installation and upgrades, new infrastructure build outs and relocations.
