What to Include in Sympathy Cards Be short and simple Express your condolences *if you knew the person you can share a short memory, and share how much that person meant to you *if you know that they passed after a long period of suffering or illness it is appropriate to acknowledge the illness *If you know the person its okay to offer some assistance—If you need anything feel free to call me… I would love to cook you a dinner… etc. Close with an appropriate phrase followed by your name. I’m praying for you, you are in my thoughts, my sincere sympathy, with heartfelt condolences, they memory of him/her will always be in our hearts. Firstname

What to Include in Thank You Notes 1.Greet the Person 2.Express your gratitude 3.Discuss how you are going to use the gift or information—Don’t lie though 4.*if you are familiar with the person then mention the past and allude to the future—I heard you are doing well at school, I hope to see you soon… 5.Thanks again for… 6.Sincerely, Firstname Lastname
