Men wore dress coats. The front of the jacket stopped at the waist and had two narrow coat-tails in the back. They wore pants that were knee height with long socks. They had overcoats worn for traveling and walking. The men often dressed with their hair curled. They also wore wigs that were curled. For footgear, they had a legging of leather, and top boots. Woman mostly wore dresses and gowns. They wore different hats like caps, small hats, and great broad- brimmed hats. The hats were made of beaver, straw, silk, and gauze. Women wore high heels made from leather. Some accessories they wore were gloves, muffs, scarves, and jewels. Like men, they wore wigs when dressing up. Women’s fashion

The transportation during the American Revolutionary War was by foot, horse, or small boat. They rode horseback or by horse and wagon. People in the time period didn’t really travel a lot. The road system was not well developed. They traveled on large boats from Europe to America. Transportation

They used a mill to make grains. They used a fireplace to cook food. They had guns that only worked with gun powder. They had cannons used on and off a ship. They had projectiles that were like bombs. On their guns, they had knifes used in hand-to- hand combat. Technology

An invention that was developed in the Revolutionary War is the Franklin stove created by: Ben Franklin. It impacted society because it produced more heat but less fire wood.
