5 Landforms Two major mountain ranges in North America are the Rocky Mountains and the Appalachian Mountains

7 They are a cordillera Cordillera- is a chain of mountain ranges Stretch more than 3,000 miles from Alaska to Mexico The Rockies contain peaks that reach over 14,000 feet

14 Canadian Shield Located in central Canada Made mostly of bedrock. Bedrock-Solid rock that is usually covered by soil, gravel and sand.

15 In northern parts of the shield, there are indignities and they are called Inuit.

17 Interesting Fact………. Prince Edward Island is the smallest province in Canada. It is famous for red sand beaches, red soil, and potatoes. It also is known for the Confederation Bridge which joins Prince Edward Island to New Brunswick. It takes just ten minutes to cross, with no wait times.
