3. A typical fifth grade classroom has 2-3 LRC kids with disabilities from Learning Disabilities in reading, writing, math to Otherwise Health Impaired (for Example ADD, ADHD, Autism, EI, etc.). The student we have chose is an African American boy aged 10. He is LD and has a language processing disorder.

4. Conditions Social Studies class takes place approximately 40 minutes two to three days per week. Resources – TCI with a couple guest speakers each year. Some classes utilize CCN Student News and/or social studies related read aloud novels. Yes, resources are aligned to standards. Print resources are easy to use for the teacher and student, but the website login process is a bit tedious.

Tests are modified in length and/or content for our special needs students and typically administered in a small group setting if it’s a paper & pencil task.
