Chinese New Year Have you ever heard of the Chinese New Year? It’s a very popular festival in China. The Chinese New Year lasts for 2 weeks in China. The Chinese New Year starts at the end of January. People also spend the Chinese New Year feasting with their families and watching performers with loud drums, gongs, and doing Lion Dances. After the Chinese New Year there is the Lantern Festival which closes the Chinese New Year.

Other festivals There are other festivals in China too. One of the festivals is the Mid-Autumn Festival. During the Mid-Autumn Festival families celebrate the moon. They eat sweet mooncakes and celebrate with light paper lanterns. Another celebration is National Day. People celebrate the Peoples Republic Of China. National Day is also celebrated with sports, bands, parades and fireworks. Those are some of the festivals in China.
