Library Hours 7:30- 3:15 Mornings from 7:30 to 7:45 are for school work and studying only Not for socializing No games, music, or Facebook

Morning Study Time Two students per table No talking or visiting You may Check out books Read Do homework Use computers for school assignments

Library Rules You must have a Library Pass when coming from a class You must sign in and out every time you visit the library No food, drinks, or cell phones Do not cut through elementary building Return books and materials to cart Computers are for assignments and AR tests only Clean up after yourself – Put chairs back – Throw trash away

Remember! We share the library Be extra quiet when Mrs. Rodgers has a class Do not distract the elementary students Do not wave or try to hug your little cousin You will be helping them To be mature To pay attention To learn to ignore distractions

Check Out Policies Check out up to 2 books at a time Check out period is for 10 school days Book drop in high school lobby or return here Overdue fines are 5 cents per day per book Students will be charged full replacement price for lost or damaged books You may not check out anything else until all fines or fees are paid Library fines can keep you from graduating

High School Library Procedures Sign in first at the circulation desk Leave book bags on benches Go to computer or book shelves Select books to check out Come to Circulation Desk to be checked out Stamp the due date in the back in the next available space Hand over the book jacket Sign out and take your pass

Overdue Notices Notices will be sent to your English teacher List will be sent once a week Students are expected to clear up fines as soon as possible You cannot check out any library materials until fines are paid Lost or damaged books are charged by replacement costs

Caring for Books Clean your hands every time you pick up a book Keep food and drinks away from books Books are not coasters Do not lay an opened book facedown, use a book marker Never write, draw, or highlight in a book Keep away from little kids and pets

Computer Log-In Username rls.library Password Tigers! Use this only in Library

Computer Use Computer use is a privilege, not a right – You can lose that privilege Clean your grubby paws Save your work often ALWAYS look at print preview before you print Only print what you need Save your work on something before logging off Log out of the computer every time

Computer Don’ts Don’t try to get around filters Don’t play games, even educational ones Don’t get on Facebook Do not play music or music videos Do not IM your friends, your mama, or your granny Do not look up Nikes, football results, bass fishing records, or pit bulls!
