3 © 2010 SWITCH 3TF-MNM, Feb-15-11, Lyon Wireless Mesh Network Model Wireless nodes used as wireless router: - PCEngines Alix.3D board - IEEE 802.11n cards - Software: Embedded Linux OS (ADAM) - Routing protocol: 802.11s, IPv4/IPv6 - 2x2 MIMO directional or omnidirectional antenna - Web server providing a user interface for the network management and configuration purposes. Management and configuration data can be exchanged among the mesh nodes

4 © 2010 SWITCH 4 A4Mesh: Authentication and Authorization TF-MNM, Feb-15-11, Lyon Only authorized users, authorized nodes should be able to join the network User data forwarding, management data dissemination requires a trust between Mesh nodes. Authentication mechanism between nodes are needed. Authentication issues : - Clients, end systems have to be authenticated before being able to use the network  Moonshot ? - Management interface Shibboleth protected for mesh admin  SWITCHaai - Mesh Nodes - ?
