Roles of the officials Orion Roberts

Identify officials Referee -The Referee is for watching the event. He will make decisions made by other judges and will make a final decision if an call has been made. Starter - The starter is responsible for starting the race and is in charge of the swimmers once the Referee has given him instructions to begin the race. Timers - There are 8 timers, and each swimmer has one. They record the time for the swimmer who is swimming in the lane they are in charge of.

Officials Chief Timer - He checks the electronically recorded times, after he has checked with the timers. Finish Judge - He decides and reports on what positions the swimmers finished in. Stroke Judges - There are 4 stroke judges and they watch the swimmers to make sure that the swimmers are performing the stroke in the right way. Turn Judges - They verify that the swimmer has made a legal turn.

Responsibilities for officials What are the officials responsible for? officials are responsible for making the game run smoothly. They also carry a duty to take of care to the players that are playing, and to make sure that the pool and all equipment used is in a safe condition. They also have a role to keep up to date with the new technology for game as some sports have new equipment to help make the right decision
