The Odyssey – Aeolus and the Laestrygonians Vocabulary folly – (noun) a foolish action, practice, idea – –Our own reckless folly swept us on to ruin. enticing – (verb) to attract or draw towards oneself by exciting hope or desire; to tempt – –An enticing sleep came on me. squall – (noun) a sudden, violent gust of wind, often accompanied by rain, snow, or sleet. – –A sudden squall struck and swept us back to sea. mutinous – (adjective) one or more involved in a revolt against authority – –A mutinous crew undid me. moored – (verb) to secure a ship or boat with cables or ropes – –The rest of my rolling squadron steered right into the gaping cove and moored tightly. disembarked – (verb) to go ashore and leave a ship or boat – –They disembarked and set out on a beaten trail.

With your partner, choose the best sentence. Have the partner that didn’t write the sentence, write it on the board. 5). Analyze each sentence as a class. Write down all corrected sentences.
