2 ADDING VALUE Opacity of color depends on how much water is used.

3 SALT Sprinkled into a wet wash (still shiny). Sprinkled into a damp wash (salt texture is not as large) Sprinkled into an almost dry wash (salt texture is very fine).

4 PLASTIC Folded and pressed into wet paint. Crumpled and pressed into wet paint.

5 BLOTTING & LIFTING Paper towel and Kleenex used to lift color and create texture while paint is still wet.

6 WAX PAPER Wax paper, laid on wet paint and allowed to dry, then lifted off.

7 WAX (CRAYON)

8 ALCOHOL Dropped in to a damp wash of color.

9 WATERCOLOR PENCILS Water can be added before or after drawing with pencils.
