Motivation What motivates you? Determine what motivates your employees and put them into jobs that utilize their motivations. What motivates IT staff. Example: Programmers

Project Implementation Understand that people do not like change. ODR example Types of people involved: – Sponsor – Change agent – Target

Implementation Before the project is put into motion it must be accepted. Surveys can be used to understand the obstacles that a project could face. Describe scope of change Assess the sponsor’s commitment to the project Assess the change agents' skills Evaluate the support or resistance of the targets

CTQ On page 312 of the chapter they give the example of Fidelity Investments on how to recruit and retain staff. They talk about how Fidelity takes people from customer service and move them to an IT position. Is this a good idea? If so is it possible for others to do the same?
