3 Fats Examples: dairy, nuts, some meats, etc.…. Helps produce cholesterol A component food Good/unsaturated fat are both: monounsaturated & polyunsaturated Types: good fat (Unsaturated) bad fat ( saturated & trans fat)

4 Proteins Examples: beef, poultry, fish, eggs etc.… Builds, maintains and replaces tissues Protects you from disease Types: Simple (Amino acids) Conjugated (glycoproteins) Organs and immune are made of this

5 Vitamins Examples: (A)- carrots, (C)- oranges, & (B)- leafy greens, etc… Helps your body grow and develop Main vitamins: A, B & C Found in water & fat Fat soluble (stay stored in your body for awhile) Water soluble (travel through bloodstream) In the foods we eat Helps growth, energy, tissue repair, waste removal, etc….
