Ask – aiteo, meaning: to be adamant in requesting demanding assistance with urgency to insist with urgency To meet tangible needs such as food, shelter, money etc. Aiteo express – idea that one possesses a full expectation to receive what was firmly requested. Guarantee

Aiteo – used to demand from a superior.
Normally we do not demand from a superior but humbly request. In this case Jesus taught we are to demand and not just request. Why? Because of John 15:7a. Prerequisite to demand in prayer instead of just requesting. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you

Abide in Christ – meaning:
Lordship Obedience 2. Abide in His word. Word here is “rhema” and not “logos” “Rhema” means: the spoken word, especially a word as uttered by a living voice. “logos” means: refers to the written word (bible)

Progression of fruit bearing:-
How can we tell whether we are abiding in Christ and His word? Is there a special feeling? There are two special evidences as described by Jesus. Abiding in Christ will bear fruit – v 2 Abiding in Christ will guarantee answers to prayer – v7 NO Progression of fruit bearing:- No fruit – v2 Fruit – v2 3. More fruit 4. Much fruit

Abiding in Christ demands:- Worship Meditation of God’s Word Prayer Sacrifice Service Meaning of fruit – different kinds in Scriptures Winning souls Fruit of the spirit in our lives Fruits of prayer (answered prayer) Lifestyle of praise (fruit of our lips)

What happens when Christ and His word
abide in us? our desires our prayers our thoughts our lifestyles Whatever ye ask, It shall be done Our asking will always be in accordance to His: His will His plan His purpose
