2 Aims  Improve transparency of Safety Monitor process  Improve understanding of safety monitors and the need for them  Improve dialogue with industry – may result in better information being received

3 Monthly Review  From October 07  Review each of the underlying assumptions that sit behind the safety monitor calculation  Provide brief commentary against each assumption  Adjust monitor levels where appropriate  Publish on website – during the first week of each month  Discuss at the Operational Forum as necessary  This does not replace existing right/responsibility to change monitors throughout year in response to events.
