2  Health is the combination of physical, mental/emotional, and social well being.Wellness  Being healthy means having a balanced health triangle. A state of wellbeing.

3  The three sides of your health are connected, like the sides of a triangle. Relates to your body Interacting/relating to people Mind, Brain, Thinking/Thoughts, Feelings

5 This Involves…  Keeping your body fit  Going to the doctors  Getting enough sleep  Practicing good hygiene  Avoiding drugs  Eating well

6 Social Health Involves  Getting along with parents, siblings, friends, and teachers  Making and keeping friends  Giving and receiving support when needed and being a good citizen/student  Feeling connected to people  Participating in sports or after school hobbies/activities/club

7 Liking and accepting yourself.  Short? Tall? Skinny? Chubby?  Dark skin? Light skin? How do you feel about yourself? Why?  Love yourself!  You are very special! The ability to show emotions in a healthy & accepted manner  This involves expressing emotions  Facing problems  Dealing with pressure & stress  Staying positive
