ICC Permit Tech Ad-Hoc Committee Jennifer served on the ICC Permit Tech Ad- Hoc Committee. This committee is working to promote and elevate the Permit Technician profession by addressing the needs of the Permit Tech, educational opportunities, and certification. The ICC Board of Director’s approved the committee’s recommendations in 2008 and the committee continues to work on implementing those recommendations.

ICC Annual Conference In September 2008, KCMAPT supported the ICC Ad-Hoc Committee for Permit Technicians at the Annual Conference by sending KCMAPT brochures, pens, key chains, and notepads for the Permit Tech booth at the Expo. Eirene represented KCMAPT in Minneapolis in Jennifer’s absence.

Certifications KCMAPT celebrates with members when certification is achieved. The member’s supervisor can be invited to attend the Chapter meeting following receipt of the certificate and asked to present the certificate to the member as part of the regular business meeting. When you receive your certification, please notify someone on the Board so that arrangements for this presentation can be made.
