Lifelong Learning Programme Comenius A note to the 2 nd Comenius environment questionnaire RIGHT OF EARTH CITIZENSHIP Natural resoucers for sustainable development
2
By means of the questionnaire we wanted to identify, describe, compare and explain behaviours, attitudes, opinions, regulations, values and beliefs of the interviewees. We chose to submit a semi-structured questionnaire (also including open questions) to about 500 persons from 5 different European countries (Romania no data available so far…) The aim was that of identifying behaviours and attitudes that produce effects on the environment.
3
We could discuss about the results for hours comparing the different habits of the subjects involved, but, actually, it is more useful for our work to point out the importance of the questionnaire as introductory instrument for the didactical planning of environmental education. It is, indeed, through what emerges from the questionnaire’s replies that we can intervene appropriately, on the issues which, from time to time, will seem in need of a deeper analysis, in order to give our students the basic knowledge on the correct behaviours which will not damage the environment we live in. Our questionnaire was structured in a way that would allow us to find out the extent of awareness and the opinion of our interviewees on their own knowledge of the territory they live in and of the energy technologies available. From the analysis of results we noticed that there’s a lot of attention about the issue of the development of new, clean and renewable energy technologies that could improve the quality of life of every single country, but also positively influence the well-being of the whole Planet.

Conclusive note: It would be advisable that each of the partner-countries present the results obtained through the questionnaire reporting to the team their opinion regarding the means in itself and the answers obtained.
