Acquiring information A short questionnaire inquiring on the: 1.Influence of 1976 UNESCO Recommendations on the Development of Adult Education on theory and practice of adult education and, 2.Participation in the consultation process.

A questionnaire sent to: policy makers, Faculty of arts, institutes, associations, National Commission for UNESCO 7 questionnaires sent out, 4 answers received.

Information Greater influence from CONFINTEA V and VI documents which are certainly based on the Recommendations Special distinction of UNESCO documents compared to e.g. EU is their concentration on the learner and his/her right to learning.

Information Threefold influence 1.On policy regulation and educational legislation in 1996 2.Strengthening cooperation of various stakeholders at national and local level 3.Adoption of the Resolution on the National Plan of Adult Education 2004- 2013, 2013-2020. Cooperation with the SIAE in the process of developing Recommendations.

Information Active participation in consultation process: Slovenian Institute for Adult Education and through the Institute also the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport Recommendations passed on by the Sloveninan National Commisson for UNESCO

Remarks own observations: No wide national consultations either in 1976 or in 2014 University probably not contacted Some 1976 recommendations endorsed in the study programme of andragogy by the University of Ljubljana and also other faculties e.g. correspondence courses, distant education, study circles, education of teachers etc.
