What is Resume? Self-marketing tool – sells your most relevant competencies Demonstrates a match between what you have to offer and those requirements Do NOT Writing a resume that is a cut & paste Attempting One-Size Fits All Weak Objective Bulleted Tips Professional in appearance and content Highlight strengths and link them to the needs Research and state your reasons for application Proofread-read out loud and seek second option

Resume Writing FAQs “What are some tips for writing resume bullets?” Avoid “responsible for” and “duties included” Use action verbs: executed, delivered, created… Use adjectives/adverbs: effective organization… Include results or outcomes of your actions: “successfully launched new product line, resulting in a 5% increase in revenue”
