3. ABOUT NCU NCU started its activities in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Establishment of the National Coordinating Unit of the European Union’s Technical Assistance Programs in Uzbekistan” № 29 dated 24.01.1994.

The main functions of the NCU are:

6. * Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On establishment of the National Coordinating Unit of the European Union’s technical assistance programs in Uzbekistan”; * Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On coordination of activities of national institutions in ensuring implementation of European Commission's technical assistance programs in the Republic of Uzbekistan” (the adoption of a new legal act is being considered now in light of abolition of the TACIS Program).
