A thousand cures... No one cure. In The Hague mitigation and adaptation actions are integrated in a great number of other plans and instruments such as: – Private building information desk – Water agenda – Climate Change plan – Housing plan – Energy vision – Public Health plan – Nature policy plan – Environmental impact assessment – Climate fund – Subsidies on floor & roof insulation, on green roofs – Energy fairs – City farming – Energy convents – Water “accounting” by spatial plans – Participation programmes – Foundation Sustainable The Hague – And many, many others… a few examples :

Water storage In The Hague many areas are densely build up. Water can’t always seep enough into the ground and not always there is room for a dual sewage system. To create the necessary water storage we’ve build 13 underground storm water basins and numerous sewage storage basins (like this one underneath Huygens park).
