7 Pennsylvania Forest Stewards ► Ruffed Grouse Society’s Coverts Program  Focus on private forest stewardship ► Training in exchange for outreach efforts ► 431 volunteers trained since 1991; 349 still active. ► Increase in “legacies” coming through the program.

9 Changing Our Approach ► Discovering Collaborative Learning: A Workshop  Goal: Create a cadre of resource professionals able to engage forest stakeholders in new ways. ► Facilitation ► Collaborative Learning ► Dialogue

10 Changing Our Approach ► Discovering Collaborative Learning: A Workshop  Seven contact days over 6 months ► How to: Collaborative learning and dialogue. ► How to: Work with groups and help people find common ground. ► Assignment: Create a collaborative learning resource group. ► Document impacts and refine training curriculum.
