Generators Lesson! This will be broken into multiple parts The kids will be attempting to recreate a graph based on given data, but not being allowed to see the actual graph. We will begin by being very specific about node size, number of edges, and number of connections. Data will become less specific as the lessons progress in order to give the kids a chance to understand how different generators (in this case their minds) could interpret the information and create a graph.
2
Generators: 1 st lesson What are Nodes? What are Edges? Connecting points on a graph. Lines that are used to show connections on a graph The more edges a Node may have the larger the Node will be!
3
Generators: 2 nd lesson Lets describe the graph. What would be the Nodes? What would be the Edges? What could you say about the Nodes? The circles! The lines! They are different sizes. Some have more connections than others. The more connections a nod has the larger it is!
4
Generators: 3 rd lesson Lets try and recreate a graph using only verbal information regarding the nodes and edges. There are 7 Nodes. There are 2 node sizes 1 X-large 6 small There are 6 Edges, creating 6 connections.
5
Generators: 4 th lesson Lets try and recreate a graph using only verbal information regarding the nodes and edges. There are 6 Nodes. There are 4 different sizes of nodes. X-large, large, medium, small There are 7 Edges, creating 7 connections.
6
Generators: 5 th lesson Lets try and recreate a graph using only verbal information regarding the nodes and edges. There are 9 Nodes. There are 4 different size of nodes. X-large, large, medium, small, There are 9 Edges, creating 9 connections.
7
Generators: 6 th lesson Lets try and recreate a graph using only verbal information regarding the nodes and edges. There are 10 Nodes. There are 5 different size of nodes. X-large, large, medium, small, x-small There are 9 Edges, creating 9 connections.
