What’s new at MCTC?

A NEW 2014 BUS Statistics: 78 Passenger Bus 40 Feet long 270 HP Diesel Weight approximately 24,000 Lbs. Cost $133,411.86

Stop Arm Cameras We are currently just completing a demo on some of our buses. The cameras are mounted on the side of the bus under the stop paddles and are activated when the paddle is put out. The company does all of the work.

COOPERATIVE OVERHEAD % Each year the overhead costs to each district are calculated by the miles traveled by each district in the prior year. The percentages for this year are as follows. Pioneer 18% Southside 3% Shelton 79%

MCTC SHOP INFORMATION WE HAVE 3 MECHANICS AND A SHOP MANAGER WORKING ON A VARIETY OF VEHICLES. THESE INCLUDE: FACILITIES,GROUNDS, AND FOOD SERVICE EQUIPMENT.

SHOP STATISTICS Our shop personnel have 96 pieces of equipment they are responsible for. Of those 96, 76 belong to Shelton School District. Our mechanics clocked a total of 4,300 hours last year working on Shelton equipment alone.

SHOP STATS CONTINUED Our shop is open 5:30am-6:00pm We have accomplished awards for outstanding WSP inspections for 5 years in a row This includes all three Co-op districts

STATE ALLOCATION Our new state funding model is in it’s second year A majority of the allocation is calculated by our ridership Our current year allocation is $1,295,153.28.

BUS DEPRECIATION Bus depreciation is now allocated on the last day of our fiscal year. We are scheduled to receive $162,846 We currently have 22 buses on depreciation.
