Birth Information Born on February 6,1895 in Baltimore, Maryland Real name is George Herman Ruth

Personal Background One of eight children Only Babe and his sister Mamie survived the other six passed away When he was seven years old his parents sent him away to St, Mary’s Industrial school for boys because he became a troublemaker to the neighborhood and they were never there to make him mind Before he was found as a major league baseball player he worked for Baltimore Orioles Babe was founded by his boss Jack Dunn When Babe was 19 years old Jack Dunn became his legal guardian After the Baltimore Orioles Babe went and played with the Boston Red Sox

Death Information In 1946 it was discovered that Babe had malignant tumor in his neck On August 16,1948 the cancer took over him and he passed away at age 53 His body laid in Yankee Stadium the funeral was two days later and over 100,000 people lined up and paid their respects
