Considering Your Brother ! What is the fate of the erring child of God?

What a dreadful thing to be lost ! Ezek 34:16 "I will seek what was lost and bring back what was driven away, bind up the broken and strengthen what was sick Matt 18:11 For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost John 17:12-13 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

We are to follower our Lord’s Ex Gal 6:1-Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. 2 Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. As valuable as your soul is, would you want someone giving up on you.

Establishing A Plan Do you think Jesus had a plan We need a plan as well This is often a discouraging endeavor Most are in this condition because of either weakness or indifference If you don’t believe you are determined to win them back, it is most likely you will not. One trip never wins the lost back, so don’t go out expecting that result. If this is worth working on it, is worth all the effort it requires

It requires patience and determination Luke 21:19 By your patience possess your souls. 1 Thess 1:3 remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father

Must go in the spirit of meekness gentleness and humility Col 3:12-14 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.

Can’t be a quitter because many are looking for an excuse to quit Matt 10:14-15 And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet. 15 Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city! This was not meant to be a way out for us today

Christians never give up on each other as long as time continues John 15:12-17 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends. 14 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. 15 No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. 17 These things I command you, that you love one another.

How would you feel if Christ had given up on you? Jesus went to his grave loving you Will we go to our grave showing our love for our weak brothers who may be lost without our help Who else does the Lord have out in Cooper doing his work? If you don’t go who will? You know the answer is clearly, NO One! They will just be lost eternally.

So “Preacher” What is our plan! First each of you make a list of those you feel are considered to be in need of restoration Provide me with the list We will meet after services and devise a plan of visits to try to discuss when we will go to see them We agree to go the distance to win them back

What should I be prepared for… You will have to give of your time, I will go and you can go with me You might miss some TV and it might even cost other things You might need to make some phone calls You might have to study and pray You might be disappointed in some

What would be considered a success ? If we care enough to make the effort, we will have been successful If one soul is saved, the Angels in Heaven rejoice God will be pleased You will feel great for making the effort regardless of the results It will make you a stronger Christian

So When Preacher I will take off a number of days in September and we can go during the day together (brothers and sisters) We can go at night together two by two just like they went out in the Bible Here is my challenge to you! I will be ready for my part ! Will you be ready for your part ? How much do you want this to happen?
