What Is a Friends Group? Library Friends groups are volunteer champions of the library.

What Is a Friends Group? They work closely with the library’s staff. They know their community’s needs. They give valuable feedback from the community

What Is a Friends Group? Friends plan activities with consent of the library board and the library director. They do fund raising and assist with special events.

What Is a Friends Group? Friends’ donations help to supplement existing library resources.

Working With Friends Trustees represent citizen control and governance of the library. Library Director represents the administration and management of the library. Friends of the Library represent citizen participation and assistance to the library.

How Do Friends Help? Raising money to purchase equipment and materials that aren't within the library's budget Sponsoring informative programs to enlighten and entertain Representing the library in our community and county Volunteering to do special library tasks Acting as hosts for receptions and tours Keeping their representatives informed of the library's needs Providing a valuable pool of talent to assist the library in offering more to the community
