2.  Community service is when someone performs an action which benefits his or her community.

3.  Community Service gives you a since of pride when you can make a difference in your surroundings.

4.  Gives people an opportunity to work with others.  Provides service for the needy.  It feels good to give back to the community.  Shows good citizenship and an appreciation for where you come from.

5.  A nonprofit, ecumenical Christian ministry founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live. We build with people in need regardless of race or religion. We welcome volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds.

6.  Is the American Cancer Society’s signature activity. It offers everyone in a community an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer. Teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Relays are an overnight event, up to 24 hours in length.  Teams of people from all walks of life have fun while raising much-needed funds to fight cancer and raise awareness of cancer prevention and treatment.

7.  When I participated in Relay for life, I helped out at the freshmen year experience booth. We had a game where people would threw darts at balloons that were taped to a board when they popped a balloon they won a prize which was a bag of candy.  I also walked around the track from 8:30 to 9.
