Goal: The appearance of the neighborhood shall be improved during the next two years. Implementation Projects: Conduct neighborhood clean up every year Remove Graffiti every week Hold focused clean up activity on Block A to assist senior homeowners in upgrading property conditions and appearance. Goal/Projects – Example #1

Goal: Social conditions between neighbors shall improve during the next two years to the point that neighbors know each other and gather often. Implementation Projects: Hold Block Parties annually to allow neighbors to become acquainted and really get to know each other. Organize a welcoming committee to welcome new neighbors to the area and give them community resource information. Implement an annual “Good Neighbor” award program Form neighborhood association to discuss neighborhood issues and work toward making neighborhood improvements. Goal/Projects – Example #2

Goal: Improve access to healthy foods and increase active living for all ages Implementation Projects: Develop community garden within one year to allow local residents to grow their own produce Work with local churches and DUG to provide series of educational programs on healthy living and food preservation annually Work with neighborhood populations to develop mentoring program by pairing youth with experienced gardeners Goal/Projects – Example #3
