What Do We Mean By “Accessible Format”? The delivery of information in ways that individuals with disabilities are able to understand and utilize. It Must Be Effective.

Common Types of Accessible Formats Large Print - minimum of 18 pt. Font size Braille Audio Cassette Electronic (computerized) Video Tape Reader Scribe

Accessible (Alternate) Format Resources Access Publishers - transfers books to disk for PC. Access USA - Braille translation service for all types of copying, translation & printing service. American Foundation for the Blind - publishes a variety of references in various media. American Printing House for the Blind - provides Braille books and large-type books.
