Management, Security, and Destruction of Weapon Stockpiles February 2013 Conduct a Symposium for Stockpile Management and Destruction of Ammunition in poor condition to discuss procedures, compile management models and security of stockpiles of weapons used by the member states, and maintain a list of best practices for the management and security of stockpiles of weapons in the hemisphere to develop the Manual in coordination with CIFTA / OAS NLT May 2013 In coordination with CIFTA, develop a Procedural Manual on the protection of weapons stockpiles and on standard operational procedures for the safe destruction of surplus firearms, ammunition, and explosives. Developing National Defense Doctrine and Policy Papers (“White Papers”) October 2012 Conduct a CSBM Seminar to discuss Defense Policy “White Papers”, in order to improve their creation, to standardize the measures to create them, to discuss the best procedures and highlight the importance of such documents. Humanitarian Assistance in the Case of Disasters March 2013 Develop a working group with representatives of regional and sub regional military organizations that have participated in the 2012 past exercises, in order to provide feedback for the IADB Disaster Plan and conduct the IADB’s "Humanitarian Assistance III" exercise. Others Topics January 2013 Conduct a conference on Interdiction and Armed Forces Cooperation, with the participation of an expert from the Department of Public Security and invited IADB members to be held in the “Casa del Soldado”. April 2013 Conduct a symposium involving experts from different Member States, directed to the IADB Delegates, Secretariat, OAS guests and others, to be held in the “Casa del Soldado” on the topic: The Armed Forces and Participation in Public Security Tasks (Defense Support to Civilian Authorities (DSCA). May 2013 Conduct a conference with the participation of a CICAD expert on the subject “Controlled Delivery” for IADB members and invited to be held in the “Casa del Soldado”. 10. Additional Items Cooperation Agreements with SMS / OAS Team building with representatives of the IADB and the SMS, to work in the following areas: AICMA, CSBM, CIFTA and CITAAC. Coordination of the Seminar on Armed Forces support for Major Events scheduled for April 2013.
