Mandated Child Abuse Reporting A training by Keenan has been created and every RCOE employee will be required to complete the modules and turn in the certificate of completion to their supervisor. 15. Be prepared. Life is full of unexpected surprises; don't let this be a lesson you refuse to learn. Death, loss, and strange situations will be a part of your life, no matter how much you may try to shelter or protect yourself from it. The major key to coping with change is to begin by accepting the reality of change and its inevitability. Notice the signs. Many a time we refuse to see what is before us. To avoid surprise or shock at the last minute, stay alert, listen and register the signs of oncoming change. Acknowledging impending change allows you to be proactive. Putting in place options to cope with change ahead of the actual change can help you to not only deal with it but potentially thrive.

16. Acknowledge that there's only one thing you can control in life, and that's yourself. Change may turn your world upside down but it's how you react that makes the difference between coping or falling apart. You are the deciding factor on how great the change will affect you and your well being. Be discerning about advice from others. Advice can be wonderful when the chips are down but it can also result in manipulative and thoughtless behavior. You need to be discerning about others motivations for offering you advice.

How we each handle change is as individual as our finger prints… Some tips that may really help you: 1)Breathe through it 2)Write notes about the changes 3)Use your support systems…double check if you are questioning 4)Take breaks when it’s overwhelming 5)Organization – stop and reorganize things if need be 6)Minimize loads when you are making major changes… 7)Rest and eat healthy meals (getting sick will not help) 8)Let people help you when you can 9)Remember the things that are changing in your life will one day become routine 10)Recall and take strength from previous changes you have made or gone through in your life
