Roots of Empathy is an international award- winning program that develops children’s social- emotional skills, promotes empathy, and reduces bullying. The program is centered around a parent and infant who visit the classroom each month (nine times) over the course of a school year. We are seeking families with an infant who will be 2-4 months old in late October for the program at our school. Fifth graders will also be receiving some instruction on climate change, and all students will focus on ecological cycles and food/nutrition. New Mural for Cabrillo Wall: Argonne parent Leon (1st grade) has graciously offered to design and paint a mural on the wall facing the veggie garden. The proposed design is to highlight animals native to Golden Gate Park.
