3 NQF A comprehensive national qualifications framework (NQF) for lifelong learning was adopted in July 2012 by government decree. It will embrace all national qualifications that can be acquired in general and higher education and those vocational qualifications registered in the national qualifications register (NQR). 5 NQF aims a)to promote harmonisation of the different subsystems, helping the national qualification system to become more coherent and supporting national policy coordination; b)to improve transparency, transferability and comparability of national qualifications by showing the relationship between qualifications; c)to support lifelong learning and enable stronger links between adult learning and formal education; d)to reinforce use of learning outcomes in standard-setting, curricula and assessment; e)to make Hungarian qualifications easier to understand abroad and more comparable and transparent; f)to improve relevance of qualifications in the labour market; g)to support career orientation. 8 Vocational school attainment Level 3 Education to be organised only in part-time system, 50-50% theory and practice, duration: 320-480 hours (1 year). Received qualification Digital map specialist, Property registry assistant, Geoinformatics specialist. 9 Surveying, Land Management and Geoinformatics Level 4 To be organised only in full-time system, 5 years in with vocational secondary school, where class 9-12 basic technical education and preparation for high school diploma (maturity examination); after 12 th class high school diploma, compulsory professional practical written and oral exam in Surveying, Land Management and Geoinformatics. teaching content is 50 theory and 50% practice, the programme ending with a Thesis, written practical and written exam. Received qualification is “Surveying, Land Management and Geoinformatics” Technician. 12 BSc in Land Surveying and Land Management The aim of the programme is to serve profession with experts equipped with problem-solving, IT and communication skills, with fluency in at least one foreign language, extensive knowledge of natural, technical, legal, economic, and management sciences, and the ability to use their intelligence and skills in the domain of geoinformatics, land management, property and land law. The name of the qualification: land surveying and land management engineer (with the specialisation indicated) Optional specialisations: geoinformatics, land management, land cadastre. Length of course: in full-time and correspondence course training: 7 semesters Obtainable credit points for BSc: 210 credits. 13 MSc in Land Management The aim of the programme is to provide professionals at decision making and executive levels who are able to plan the land in a complex way, to resize the given area for agricultural aims, to facilitate the harmony between the production site capabilities and the utilization. Instead of the scattered parcels these new agricultural properties become economically productive thus meeting the interests of farmers and environmentally sustainable thus meeting the interests of all stakeholders. 14 MSc in Geography programme, Geoinformatics specialization The programme focuses on scientific, technical and computational aspects of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Geographical Information Science & Technology (GISc&T). 15 PhD in Environmental Sciences, Geoinformatics programme The aim of the PhD programme is to advance knowledge and the application of knowledge through the preparation of a substantial thesis which represents a significant contribution to a particular field of study in geoinformation sciences. It can be connected to numerous special research tasks and it can contribute to the complexity of research and spatial analysis. The Programme accepts students in doctoral degrees by research in a large range of Geoinformatics related discipline areas including: Environmental studies, Forestry, Geodesy, Geography, Land surveying, GI Science, Land management, Mapping, Photogrammetry, Remote sensing, Spatial planning, Wildlife management. 17 Postgraduate Education The Faculty has postgraduate education on Applied Informatics in Land Administration, with fields of study in land-surveying, cadastre, GIS and construction geodesy; and Geoinformatics. The postgraduate course in Geoinformatics is part of an international network (UNIGIS International). The Faculty regularly organises international summer-schools. The teaching is mostly built on open, distance education, e-Learning methodologies. 18 Real-estate planner certificate Criteria a) Has a Surveyor ID, b) Graduated as Technician, BSc or MSc in Surveying, c) Working experience: 3 years in Land Office or 5 years in surveying company or 5 years in education, d) References:  Min 30 parcel setting out or planing boundary changes, or  Cadastral mapping of min100 ha residental / 1000 ha agricultural land e) Promoted by the relevant surveying expert, f ) Successfully completed the necessary written and oral exam. 19 Reorganization - 2014 According to decree of Hungarian Prime Minister nr. 1139/2014. (III. 14.), organisational changes happened at University of West Hungary (UWH, Sopron) at the end of June 2014. Based on the decision Faculty of Geoinformatics moved from University of West Hungary (UWH, Sopron) to Óbuda University (OU, Budapest). The reason is economical: Faculty of Geoinformatics (situated in Szekesfehervar) merged with Alba Regia University Center of OU (situated in Szekesfehervar) into a new unit called Alba Regia Technical Faculty (ARTF). 20 Reorganization - 2015 Óbuda University, Alba Regia Technical Faculty is responsible for BSc in Land Surveying and Land Management MSc in Land Management (last intake), PG in Informatics in Land Administration (cancelled), and PG in Geoinformatics.
