11. Arrival Routine Hello Friends!! We work on being as independent as we can be in getting our coats and backpacks off, taking out our snack, giving our teachers items from our parents, and getting our mail. Then we work at the table.

14. GroupGroup We have a lot to learn!! At group, we are engaged in theme- related activities and stories. We work on many academic and cognitive concepts, language skills, and learning to listen and focus.

22. Worktime/Center Time Playing is how we learn many things! Each center has specific objectives and skills that are being taught without the kids even realizing it!

24. Playground/GymPlayground/Gym Fun, fun, fun!!! We spend our motor time with our friends from Miss Megan’s class!

30. While working on our gross motor skills, we are also learning how to share, how to ask friends to play, how to join friends in their play, and how to engage in cooperative play. Social skills are such an important part of school success.

31. SnackSnack Snack is also a very social time and a very rich academic and language time. Independence is also encouraged and facilitated.

33. After snack each day, it is time for quiet reading. The children are learning all about book handling skills and story elements, including characters, themes, and sequences of events.

35. Small Group Time for art and working with teachers. Fine motor skills including appropriate grasp, cutting, and prewriting skills are incorporated into our activities. This is also a time to work on math and literacy concepts as well.
