2. Who we are “Fools are my theme, let satire be my song.” – Lord Byron. News That Matters Not is primarily a news satire website. We also publish opinion and criticism on topics that concern the youth. As a reputed youth platform, we try to mobilize the Indian youth to voice their opinion on issues that matter to them. News That Matters Not Since November 2009, our evolution has seen us publishing different forms of popular web content, pioneering collaborative writing among youth, and building one of the most reputed content-based internship programs in India. We believe that we can influence thought and perspectives through writing quality satire and humour. Our motto is “Inspiring Change Through Humour”. (see last slide)

3. Who the NTMNers are NTMN is the execution of the sustained efforts of dozens of us over the last six years. We are students and alumni from some of the best Indian colleges, mainly in the age bracket of 18-25. NTMNers are like-minded individuals passionate about bringing change by producing amazing web content. NTMN has helped us become better human beings and more skilled professionals. Several of us discovered our purpose in life here, and we hope your life and career will also be totally changed!

5. What we do We deal with everything important by making it look awesome. From dark- and-deep cock-and-bull stories to subtle social change; real news to killer views; public sentiments to public bashing; witty humour to gritty criticism. We put forth opinion. We build opinions. We cover popular culture, news analysis, social commentary, controversies, youth affairs, celebrities, media, and what not. We have done all this through news satire and sarcasm, opinion and criticism. Don’t trust us to lay down facts, or information. We are about creativity in presenting perspectives. We say no to nonsense, vulgar satire. Graceful satire that makes a point: that’s what we try. Yes, at times, we are just mindlessly funny. Or just too serious. Even boring. We do have our own tantrums. But they work. We’re a source of Delight… and Light.

6. Where you come in We are trying to build a fresh, skilled, consistent, and passionate team of satirists, headline writers and photo/video illustrators, backed by a strong team of editors and strategists. We attempt to build strong training & feedback structures that will help you develop yourselves much more than you are able to give back to NTMN!

7. Do we pay? Unfortunately (but obviously), no. We are a strictly non-profit organization, run and maintained by students. We haven’t entered into association with big media houses to ensure creative control and to maintain our cherished work- culture. We are in it for the fun, not the money.
