Do Now 2/6/14 On the slip of paper write your name, the date, and answer the following questions. Explain the difference between acquired and inherited traits. Give an example of each type of trait. Acquired traits are traits that you develop or learn through life. You aren’t born with them and MOSTLY they aren’t controlled by DNA (genes). Can you think of an acquired trait where your DNA gets messed up later in life? Inherited traits are traits that were passed to you from your parents. Your inherited traits are a combination of genes from your mother and your father and are ALWAYS controlled by your DNA.
