1 Facts for December Christmas Trees People bringing Christmas trees in to their homes has been a tradition for many years. Many people think it came from Germany where Prince Albert, Queen Victoria’s husband came from. At the weekend a Christmas tree was lit in Broad Street. It was a present from the people of Norway. There is also a Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square in London which is a present to the UK from Norway to thank Britain for its help during WWII

4 Eco Club Thank you to all classes for their votes on our new Eco Topics. Our topics for the next two years are Litter, Energy and Transport. Which targets we should try to achieve. The sheets will be given out today to complete by next week. Thank you.

5 Well done to…………… Jamie, Emma, Steven and Maciej who took part in the Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday. Leah who has adopted a snow leopard through the World Wild Life Fund and she has called it Emily.

8 Well Done to …………. Jenny Meek who was nominated for a Youth Award by her Brownie Leader for being a great role model for other diabetic children. Our Swimmers who took part in the Christmas Swimming Gala on Thursday evening.

9 Well Done to …………. Ella, Emma and Zara who took part in the Under 13’s Netball, Scottish Cup Game against Shetland on Saturday and Orkney won 20 - 8
