1 R4 101 5 Keys to Collective Impact

2 Isolated Impact  Most funders are faced with the task of choosing a few grantees  Which organizations make the greatest contribution toward solving a social problem?  Grantees compete to be chosen by emphasizing how their individual activities produce the greatest effect.  Each organization is judged on its ability to achieve  This is independent of the numerous others that also influence the issue.  Every attempt is made to isolate that grantee’s individual influence from all other variables.  Jack of all trades master of none – together we serve all  This is ISOLATED IMPACT.  As long as we continue to function as independent operators working in silos competing for limited resources….. We will not achieve our collective potential, and we will not effectively serve Our Military Family
