7 th Grade / Level 2 Science Course Description Students will study the nature of science, science as inquiry, skills and processes needed in science, and technology in science through environmental, social and personal perspectives. An emphasis will be placed on global awareness through integration of subject areas by studying issues from multiple perspectives. Students will develop investigational skills and a conceptual understanding of how science works in their daily lives including exploration of global issues and problem solution design. Students will learn to communicate through visual representations. Opportunities will be provided to develop and communicate positive, diverse attitudes and concepts in relation to other cultures. Students will be asked to analyze and explain risks and benefits of science and technology, working simultaneously to become independent thinkers and cooperative workers.
