Since 1999, the Intel Teach Program has helped over 4 million educators in more than 35 countries. The goal of Intel ® Teach is to help classroom teachers develop student-centered learning through technology integration and project- based approaches.

Guests may be invited from other Universities. Faculty participants dedicate the full three days (partial participation will not result in access to Intel ® Teach course materials) Faculty participants who complete the Faculty review event are provided with access (without charge) to Intel Teach materials

Faculty Review Courses Available Two curricula are available for university faculty who prepare teachers or provide graduate programs for inservice teachers. ESSENTIALS: The goal of the Intel ® Teach Essentials Course is to help classroom teachers develop student- centered learning through technology integration and project-based approaches using Web 2.0 tools. THINKING WITH TECHNOLOGY: The goal of the Intel ® Teach Thinking with Technology Course is to help classroom teachers Participants develop standards-based unit plan, support materials, and implementation strategies to improve and assess students' higher-order thinking with the use of free online tools. 6

Faculty Review Teaching Tools and Resources During the Faculty Review, participants are also oriented to the following teaching tools and resources: ASSESSING PROJECTS: Teachers may develop strategies for student-centered assessment and create your own from an Assessment library HELP GUIDE: Teachers will find step-by-step instructions for hundreds of technical skills for commonly used software applications. DESIGNING EFFECTIVE PROJECTS: Teachers may gather ideas from a collection of exemplary Unit Plans and design their own technology-rich teaching plan. 7

Blogs often take the form of a journal and are regularly updated with new entries WIKIS: Wikis are collaborative Web sites that can be set up to be edited by anyone or only designated users. The creator of a wiki can receive notice of all changes and can track and monitor the development of the site content. COLLABORATIVE WEBSITES Collaborative Websites allow individuals to create or upload documents to the Web where they can then be edited using familiar formatting tools. Some sites also provide the ability to edit and create presentations and spreadsheets. 20
