3  Reception learn what the internet is for and difference between real and online life  Year 1 navigate websites picked by teacher and learn what to do when they see something inappropriate  Year 2 search purposefully on websites picked by teacher and the internet is not always true

4  Reception learn that family and friends can be contacted online  Year 1 learn that other people can be contacted online  Year 2 learn difference between email and discussion forums  All classes experience sending and receiving emails  Closely linked to PSHE – knowing right from wrong, bullying

5  Reception learn pictures and information can be shared on school website  Year 1 learn that others’ work should be respected  Year 2 learn information can be shared in other online document space

6  Acceptable Internet Use Policy  Staff AUP agreements  Children AUP agreements  Parent AUP agreements  Classroom poster reminders – Think then Click, children from school offering reminders
