3 Adjectives Out of Order Brush Strokes An adjective (describing word) USUALLY comes before a noun. An adjective (describing word) USUALLY comes before a noun. An ADJECTIVE OUT OF ORDER is one that comes AFTER the noun. An ADJECTIVE OUT OF ORDER is one that comes AFTER the noun.
