Why are the things that happen at the Quantum level not considered more significant? Captain Jack Paveley

What is the Quantum Level? The Quantum Level is a scale smaller than atoms, and goes by the Quantum theory which states that energy is not constant, but exists as individual units, just like matter does.

Why is it significant? The Quantum Level and Quantum Physics are extremely significant because of the potential benefits they can supply, and also are a way to continue man’s need to understand our world.

Perspectives Quantum Physics can be controversial, because some of the information we can gain from it may have a significant impact on the modern world e.g. The theoretical particle Higgs Boson, which if discovered could potentially prove that the universe was created by the Big Bang.

Strange Matter Strange Matter is a theoretical material made up of quarks, which are the building blocks of reality, and are so small that we could not possibly comprehend their size. Don’t even try to imagine how small they are, because you CAN’T.

Strange Matter Strange Matter either does one of two things. Pop into and out of existence, or stabilize and turn everything it touches into strange matter. Scientists have observed entire stars made out of strange matter, where a single small particle of it appeared and stabilized, and made contact with the star, which was then converted into strange matter.

Issues The Many worlds theory, which states that for every action you’ve ever done, in another universe somewhere you did something else. For example instead of going to school today, you played FIFA. Instead of skipping school and playing FIFA, you Imploded. This theory could potentially disprove Religious beliefs, such as Christianity. In fact, because the scientists working at the Large Hadron Collider could potentially do this, lawsuits have been filed against them.

Other Perspective While most see the many worlds theory as something that would be enlightening if proven, it could also add to our insignificance. Because not only is there our Universe, but infinite amounts of them.

Conclusion Because of the things that we can learn from the the study of what goes at the Quantum Level, I think it should be studies further. However it could prove fatal to many cultures and religions, because of the the possible discoveries that could be made. Theoretically, Study of the Quantum Level could open up the doors for teleportation and even Time Travel.
