Christians Avoid an Uncertain Sound: “Tongues” to cease – 1 Corinthians 13:8- 13 All speakers of TRUTH must respect this! By Avoiding hard to understand “theological jargon.” By Avoiding “double talk” – 2 Peter 2:3; 1 Timothy 3:8 By Avoiding “glittering generalities”

Christians Avoid an Uncertain Sound: By Lives that Clearly Demonstrate What The Bible Teaches- Matthew 5:13-16 Hypocritical &/or Inconsistent Behavior an uncertain sound- Matthew 23:1-4,25- 31 Cannot behave one way among Christians – another way among friends One way at home – another away

Uncertain Sound of Negligent Behavior Matthew 25:14-30, 41-45 James 1:24,25 Hard to convince people we are Christians while neglecting public duty. Hard to convince people we are Christians while failing to share faith
