What are vertebrates? Vertebrates are living organisms that have a vertebrate so they have a back bone. In the vertebrate category there are more categories but smaller like some of these categories are Insects, Spiders, Fish, Amphibians and 3 more so there are 7 different categories of vertebrates.

Fish Some of the common things about fish: Slimy, bony scales Fins Gills Thousands of eggs They do not worry at all about their young

Reptiles Some of the common things about reptiles: Dry and leathery scales Small brains Several dozens of eggs Worry a little about their young but not too much

Mammals Some of the common things about: Dry hair 4 limbs Don’t lay eggs instead give birth to the already grown baby. Provides milk for their babies. Worries a lot about their young.

birds Some common things about birds Feathers 2 legs and 2 wings Lays eggs and worries a lot about them They have no teeth and instead they have a beak

Insects Some common things about insects: They have three parts in their body which are the head, thorax, and the abdomen. They usually have 6 legs. They are usually as small as small as an eraser some are smaller some are bigger. They usually have antennas.
