4 Designated Set Asides Used to award Grants to students (graduate and undergraduate) Set aside 1.4M in institutional Work-Study since many students work and this allows them to work on-campus This increased our ability to help the middle class with grant funds When tuition was deregulated in 2003-04, the university decided to set aside an additional $300,000 per year for an education loan forgiveness program

6 UTSA Education Loan Forgiveness Program Established to help student teachers with expenses while student teaching Priority based on need and critical shortage field status (math, science, special education, languages other than English & ESL/Bilingual Education)
