The Heresy in Galatia The apostasy had occurred quickly (1:6) The apostasy was an attempt to bind the Mosaical Law on the Galatian christians (5:2; 2:16-17) The heretics charged that Paul’s gospel came from men (1:10-21) The apostates reverted to the observance of days, months and years (4:9-10) They charged that Paul preached circumcision (5:11)

The Heresy in Galatia They tended to use their new liberty for an occasion to the flesh (5:13) They tried to circumcise Gentiles to avert persecution of themselves (6:12) These heretics apparently thought that the circumcision of the Gentiles would bring glory to themselves (6:13)
