9 Process for Textile Units to get affiliated as Training Providers

10 Monetary benefits: Central & state government funded schemes for skill development- Mills would be eligible to participate Part or full financial assistance to TP to meet the expenses incurred in conducting the training programs- provided by schemes Some of the schemes also have provision to provide stipend to the trainees Mill’s Training center is no longer a “COST CENTER” !! Benefits for Training Providers (Textile mills)

11 Non monetary benefits: Alignment of TSC and training partners (mills)-through process of affiliation focus will be on learning and development of learners so that they are easily employable in the mills. Maintain high standards of quality in imparting necessary skills- - he affiliation facilitates the mills by developing customized curriculum with the help of NOS to meet local/cluster requirements. Mills are always in tune with the latest requirements of the sector- as it encourages the mills to pursue continual excellence Industry recognized certification- of the successful trainees Access to international bodies- available in similar space Benefits for Training Providers

12 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is made compulsory under the Companies Act and was passed by parliament and has come into effect from April 1, 2014. All companies with turnover of Rs.1,000 crore and more - or a net worth of Rs 500 crore and more or net profit of Rs.5 crore and more - will have to spend at least two percent of their three-year average profit every year on CSR activity. Promoting education, including special education and employment enhancing vocation skills (especially among children, women, elderly, and differently-abled persons) are considered as CSR activities. 13 1.Textile unit will apply for affiliation to TSC for a NOS based course pertaining to a specific job role (Qualification Pack). 2.Textile unit can affiliate one or more courses to TSC. For each course corresponding to a Qualification Pack, it will take an affiliation from TSC. Thus there can be multiple affiliations with TSC. 3.It can also take affiliations from multiple SSCs; for courses pertaining to their sectors. Process of Affiliation

16 Prepared as per NSDC the guidelines issued by National Skill Development policy – 2009 for the Sector Skill Councils constituted by NSDC. 18 Application fee: Rs. 5000/- per Centre (to be paid with the application form) Training of Trainer (To) fee: Rs. 15000/- per Trainer (to be paid at the time of enrolment of trainer for ToT) Trainee Assessment fee: Rs. 1200/- per Trainee (to be submitted at the time of enrolment of the trainee) The above fee is payable by NEFT/DD/cheque at par drawn in favor of “Textile Sector Skill Council”, payable at Delhi. No affiliation fee is being charged by TSC for TP affiliation. Charges under Affiliation and Applicability

19 TSC invites Competent and experienced individuals to get accredited as Certified Trainers

20 Why be a Certified Trainer?? Various Central and state government funding schemes require trainings to be necessarily conducted by Certified trainers. Experienced professionals are already involved in training of fresh entrants in the textile Units. Many textile units are in the process of getting affiliated to TSC not only to improve labor productivity but also to derive benefits from government schems. Once certified by TSC, the trainers will be in high demand by the units affiliated as Training Providers with TSC.

22 Eligibility: persons with at least five years of experience in the respective job role. Experience as a trainer will be advantage. Requirements for ToT CV of the trainer Training of Trainer (ToT) Two passport size color photos of the Trainer ToT fee: Rs. 15000/- per Trainer (to be paid at the time of enrolment of trainer for ToT) The above fee is payable by NEFT/DD/cheque at par drawn in favor of “Textile Sector Skill Council”, payable at Delhi. TSC approved ToTs are conducted by BTRA/NITRA/SITRA/SIMA after approval of candidates from TSC Requirements for ToT
